In general, there are world science and hereafter science. However, if you want to get better life, you have to study about religion! Why? Because the result of studying religion is real and clear, studying religion can affect our live in the world, and also by studying religion we can get broadens horizon.
The first reason why we must study about religion if we want to get better life is because of the result of studying it is real and clear. It is real and clear because the result of studying it is we will get reward from God and we will be entered into heaven which is the place of all the pleasures. We will not get this result in world science because the result of world science is still unclear. The fact is there are still many bachelors that is unemployed in our environment. My neighborhood is one of them, he still be unemployed even he is a bachelor of engineering majors in state University of Malang. In addition, by studying religion we will also be saved from the hell which is the place of all misery. In hadis of “Muslim” say that “Those who on the path in search of knowledge, Allah will make it easier for him a path to Heaven.”
The second reason is it affect the others. Studying religion will indirectly affect our live to be better by doing what is on the Quran and Hadis. For example in hadis said that we should treat people in a good way and by practicing it in our live, people around us will treat us in a good way to. So, if our religion is good, automatically our life will be good too. The imagery of studying religion is such as when we buy a cow, of course we will also get the rope. But, in the other way, if we buy a rope, of course will not get the cow. In hadis of “ibnu majah” say that “Whoever desired by the goodness of God, God will make him or her clever about religion, will be inspired and also get God’s guidance.”
The third reason is because by studying religion we can broadens our horizon because there is a knowledge that we will not found in world science, here after life. By studying the contents of Quran and Hadis thoroughly we will get knowledge that will help us to know about here after life. We will know that there are still life after death. In here after life, good people will be in the heaven and bad people will be in the hell. Heaven or hell, that’s all is depend on what we were doing when we are still alive in the world.
وَمَا هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَهْوٌ وَلَعِبٌ وَإِنَّ الدَّارَ الْآَخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الْحَيَوَانُ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ
By studying about religion we will get reward from God, it will affect our live in the world, and also by studying religion we can get broadens horizon. In addition, it will change our life In the world to be better than before. So, if you want to get better life, you must study religion!
