Sex Education for Youth

           Sex Education is knowledge about human sexual anatomy, reproduction, activity and etc. Sex education is the study of the male’s and female’s sexual characteristic. Sexuality is an important aspect of the life of a human being and almost all people, including children, want to know about it. Sex education includes all the educational measures which regardless of the particular method used mat center on sex. Sex education (SE) is important for youth, but it has some advantages and disadvantages for them nowadays.

The advantages by studying sex education are developing their knowledge about sex and evading them from disease that caused of sex. Learning the knowledge is important that will make them know which is bad and good for themselves. Absolutely, this program will give the student especially teenagers about what actually sex means and what affects that can be happened. Moreover, it can be some kinds of rehabilitation for teenagers who have some problem with sex. Such as, they will be infected HIV/AIDS, being addicted, and etc. The main objectives of this program are reducing sexual activity, protecting our generation from this activity, reducing pregnancies. This program surely will help our generation become better.

The disadvantage of this program is depending on the instructor. If the instructor does not teach carefully about the subject of sex, it will arouse the student curiosity rather than make them careful about sex. Instead, it will just make them want to dig more because the teenagers around 12-15 years old have a great curiosity to know everything around them. Therefore, it cause the teenagers thought will be adult (in negative way) before the right time. It is possible when they have been given that material over and over, they will be losing control because they will have a feeling of curiosity. Then, they do not care about the bad effects anymore. This will be the most problem because it will not only effect to somebody but also to anybody.

Actually, sex education has been scattered in most of country in the world to reduce or rehabilitate the problem of sex, especially for youth. Most of this problem is coming from the environment which has been contaminated. Right now, our generation is facing the era of technology with so many negative sites. This program surely will help also alienate our generation from sex, but whether or not the effect of the program depends on the student. Even though there is a disadvantage sex education, but this program is still important because the teenagers nowadays susceptible to sex disease. The student should join this program so the bad effect of sex can be minimized.
