Taking a Nap

Taking a nap is good habit which often people do in the world, including Indonesia. Most Indonesians find themselves too busy to take a nap during a day. They consider that taking a nap is not necessary thing to. There has been quite suggested that we are actually meant to take a nap during a day. Here, there are three reasons why you ought to take a nap: be programmed to sleep, improve your ability to learn, and reduce stress.
The first reason is our bodies seem to be programmed to sleep after lunch. It is believed that our bodies have involved to trying to drive us out of the midday son, particularly in countries near the equator. We all tend to get a bit sleepy sometime mid afternoon, because of a slight drop in body temperature. Statistics show that more on the job accidents happen in the mid afternoon, and are often related to sleepiness. In addition, overall performance among employees in a industries has been shown to be at the lowest point of the day about an hour or so after lunch. This afternoon dip in energy happens even if you do not eat lunch.
The second reason is taking a nap may improve your ability to learn and improve working memory. The National Sleep Foundation has reported research from Harvard that shows that sleep is a key to learning, and that napping in addition to nightmare sleep can improve your ability to retain what you are taught. That is why taking a nap is important to do. Taking a nap also improve your working memory. This type of memory is involved in working on complex tasks where you have to pay attention to one thing while holding a bunch of other things in your memory. Napping also improve your memory retention; during sleep, recent memories are transferred to the neocortex. Neocortex is a thin layered structure surrounding mammalian brain, where long-term memories are solidified and stored.
The third reason is reducing stress. Stress is one cause of dangerous diseases, such as neurological disorders and heart disease. The activities that we do make brain become more strained because of too much thinking continuously, it could be a burden for the brain and create excessive stress. No matter how numerous activities undertaken, should be able to nap a few minutes. Since stress is often tied to being tired and overwhelmed, a short nap during the day can be a great stress reliever. You will wake feeling more refreshed and better able to cope with the stresses of the day. Taking a nap also can help you to optimize your entire body to re live well.
In summary, the goal of taking a nap is to get the optimal amount of sleep for your body. Sufficient sleep improves performance, learning, and simply makes us feel better. In addition, the good news is that using naps to get that is just as good as sleeping through the night.
