Scout Community

            Organization is kind of an activity that mostly college students will join with. It is like second family for college students when they have to go abroad from their house in terms of education purpose. There are two kinds of organization, intra-campus and extra-campus. An intra-campus organization is an organization which take a place inside the campus and the members are only from its campus. Take for an example, there are more than 32 intra-campus organizations in State University of Malang and the members are only State University of Malang students’. While an extra-campus organization is an organization which take place at outside the campus area and the members are from various campus and also backgrouund of education. Take for an example is ARVAD which take a place at jalan Kasim,Malang; and the members are from various background of education which are, UM, UB, SMALA and others. One of the intra-campus organizations that are very famous in State University of Malang is scout organization. This organization become famous because the members mostly had good reputation and carier after they have had joined it. There are some positive reasons why scout organization can be so famous around college students and made change of students exist.

            First is an occupation field. When you join with scout organization you will know that organization serve you kind of unit. The unit will guide you in which part students want explore theirselves. Then they will lead students to get some of occupation based on their skill in that unit. Just take for an example at “Bina Anggota” unit. They will give some opportunities to teach scout in different grade, depends on the skill and abilities. Also, that opportunity will give a lot of money for students as a payment of the teach time.

            Next, joining scout organization will give you a lot of skill, there are soft skill and hard skill that students will get. Soft-skill that may you get like leadership skill. By joining scout students will exercise theirselve to organize an event well. They will learn how to manage the time, how to manage the money and also how to manage the team. Others soft skill is public relation. When joining scout students need to face a lot of people, of course they have to have a good public communication. So they will be learn, how to use suitable language, in a right time and place. They also learn about how to convince someone else to reach the goal that they have made.

            Beside soft-skill, joining scout will give students some hard-skill exercise. Like, how to collect money, how to repairing something, how to painting, how to teaching and many others. Hard skill is one of important thing to facing a real life. Joining scout will give you all of hard skill, because in scout students will learn all of the aspect of life such as art, public relation, humanity, economic, religion and so on.

            From the passage above, we can conclude that joining scout brings a lot of positive effect for our live that are very useful for the future. So, that’s why scout could be very famous around university students because when they are joining scout they learn all of aspects life.
