Nike Vs Adidas

Do you like doing sport? If you are sport enthusiast, you must know about these brands, Nike and Adidas. Both Nike and Adidas are sportswear companies whose products throughout many part of the world are very popular and have been the two top leading sport companies in the sport industry. Almost all sports products are dominated by both brands. Even though they look similar, actually they are different. There are three differences aspects between Nike and Adidas, such as characteristic, the latest technology, and marketing strategy.
The first, these companies have differences characteristic.Nike is sportswear manufacturer based in U.S. it was founded by Bill Boweman and Pill Knight in 1972. Its slogan is “Just Do It”. Nike’s designs typically feature checkmark and the same motif is incorporated into Adidas's current official logo. On the other hand, Adidas is based inGermany. It was founded by Adolf Dassier in 1949. Its slogan is “Impossible Is Nothing”. Adidas' designs typically feature three parallel bars and the same motif is incorporated into Adidas's current official logo.
Second, these two companies sell and offer a wide range of products which have the latest technology for the customers. These companies also provide the customers varieties of footwear such as sports shoes, casual shoes, boots, sandals and stockings.Such as football shoe, Nike has new technology named Nike Flyknit Technology. Nike Flyknit technology has been engineered for football for the first time, allowing the foot to get closer to the ball and to deliver enhanced ball-feel and control of the ball. Unlike Nike,Adidas has Dribbletex technology. Dribbletex technology raised 3D grip texture forefoot for increased ball control when dribbling at high speed allowing for enhanced ball control in wet and dry conditions.
Third, these two companies also have difference in marketing strategies. Nike has domestic market focus. Nike also shifted focus to soccer in order to gain international recognition;has created new look shoes to excite "bored customers";has changed shoe designs frequently to stay ahead of competitors; and has led the industry in advertising and marketing strategies. Whereas, Adidas has European market focus because Europe is the birthplace of Adidas. Adidas also dominates the world market, especially the football market which is considered the "world’s sport"; sponsors professional athletes and athletic teams in response to Nike’s marketing technique; and has recently tried to expand its market to sports equipment and apparel.
Overall, Nike and Adidas are both well known sports brand. Therefore, it is very interesting to observe the competition of both brands, especially the advent of the latest the technology and the design. My advice, you should tend to compare them first before deciding a final choice based the technology and the design.
